I find the easiest way to turn right into Ludgate Hill from New Bridge Street (i.e Blackfriars) is to loop left and join the front of the Fleet Street traffic going east towards Ludgate Hill. This looping is common practice in Holland and Denmark. Why not try it here Boris? Similarly for all directions, of course.
