Coming off the quietway on Beech Street onto Long Lane is always a shock. Far too much motor traffic, including vans and HGVs, to feel safe here cycling with children. Needs proper cycle lane or filtering. Filtering may be difficult as not … [more]
Street regularly used as a rat run and can be very very hard for pedestrians to cross. Have seen many near misses
Please remove the raised brick crossings here and elsewhere in the square mile - these are uncomfortable and dangerous for cyclists, particularly in the wet.
My employer is moving us to a office in September that has no cycle parking facilities on Fenchurch Ave. I’ve had a bike stolen in the past and the lack of secure parking will stop me cycling in.
Multi-phase traffic light here means very long wait for cyclist/pedestrian lights, because of the delay, cyclists and pedestrians often ignore the lights, creating danger for themselves and other road users. Perhaps a re-design of the … [more]
There is a cycle way crossing across the Embankment. Unfortunately due to cycleway design, there is a green light shown to cyclists, immediately prior to crossing. The light controlling crossing cannot be seen. Too many cyclists take … [more]
Close lots of roads during rush our times. Allow buses and delivery vehicles and people with disabilities to drive. People can cycle, walk or take public transport on the much safer roads.

Bank junction and routes through the city could be improved through a continuous segregated cycle path
This is where the Embankment cycle way goes wrong. It is great (although now too narrow when busy) between Parliament Sq and Blackfriars but east of there the cycle way is north of the busy road which is bad for cars and bad for cyclists. … [more]
Two-way cycle track is far too narrow for volumes of cyclists using it at peak times. Going head-to-head with a throng of oncoming cyclists from the opposite direction is really unpleasant and scary.

When will this endless construction be finished? Is there a fine for overrunning? Pedestrians frequently seen in the cycle lane in the underpass, where there is no space for them, because of this unfinished mess.
This should be a great connection between CS3 and CS7. Right now they cross, but turning from one to the other is not efficient. Worst is CS3 westbound to CS7 southbound which forces you to turn right and Uturn across multiple traffic … [more]

Lots of space here and no cycle parking anywhere nearby. Real cycle parking would encourage people not to lock to private fences.
There is a large gym on Cannon Street opposite the station here and nowhere close to park your bike when you need to be in and out in a hurry and back to work
Needed: cycle parking for non TfL hire scheme bicycles (there is a TfL docking station here). Nearby stands are always full.
Behold! The most inexplicable Cyclists Dismount sign yet. The road is only narrowed here so someone can park their Mercedes. https://t.co/wELl3Up8tf
There have been thefts from Carmelite Street, this gets low pedestrian traffic whereas John Carpenter Street is well populated and has 2 major office entrances. JC Street has ample space as half the road is closed to vehicles and would … [more]
Currently there are 6 Sheffield stands on Carmelite Street. However is it not atypical for these to have 4 bikes tied up at one time, and this number grows exponentially in the summer when the whole of the building is surrounded by bikes … [more]
There are never enough bike racks in this part of the City. There is plenty of Soace in Devonshire Sq area for more
I work near Monument station for Lloyd's Bank and we are all moving to 10 Gresham St by end of the year. 20 of us currently park in our office car park but this won't be available in our new office. The bike racks are always full so it … [more]
Confusing signage on Throgmorton Street - is It a pedestrian zone or is open to cycles with motor vehicles in one direction?
There are many offices in this area and very little space to lock bikes - the nearest spaces are on Bouverie street and along the embankment, and they are both often full. Many bikes locked to inappropriate street furniture - lampposts and … [more]
Beware of these at Aldgate... they scared the crap out of me the other day. If you hit one, you're going to be off. https://t.co/E3smhT1GUW Ed: The offending items are known as Orcas.
Couldn't find any stands anywhere in St Paul's churchyard one night last week. Stands needed on Maria lane too.
This is way oversubscribed. Up to 8 bikes trying to use stands designed for a maximum of 4. A on-street car parking space should be given up for this - much more efficient use of space.
Ther is almost no public cycle parking available in the City apart from on London Wall. Some urgently needd near Minster Court.
There is nowhere suitable to park bikes here outside Latham and Watkins, 99 Bishopgate. There's a huge public pavement there, loads of space, and a big boris bike rack. How about some provisionfor the thousands of workers who cycle nearby.
Thsi office building has no cycle spaces free for new staff and Appold Street spaces are always full by 9am. The temporary stand provided by Hackney Coucil on Worship St is oversubscribed. The landlords of the offices in this area need to … [more]
There is almost no cycle parking available around Moorgate. The little there is on London Wall is over-crowded and not secure enough.
Abolish the horrible Gyratory north of St. Pauls. Or at least install a contraflow cycle lane for eastbound cyclists. The turning movements required at present are dangerous as they put cyclists in conflict with motorists.
Northbound cycle only signal phase from Queen Street plaza crossing Queen Victoria Street. The signal only operates if button is pushed. If the plaza has a lot of pedestrian traffic it is nearly impossible to get to the intersection and … [more]
Three motor vehicle lanes at this intersection leaving little to no room to pass cars stopped at the light in order to get to the advance stop line. Continue the protected cycle lane from Southwark Bridge to the intersection with Upper … [more]
Ban left turns from King William Street (London Bridge Approach) onto Monument Street. Dangerous left hook turn conflict with cyclists and huge conflict with large pedestrian flow.
Three motor vehicle lanes in each direction on London Bridge, despite one lane (each way) streets at either end. Remove a lane in each direction for a protected cycle track and widened footpath (they are like sardines in the morning on the … [more]
Not a cycling issue, but there is no pedestrian signal to cross King William Street. And thus no warning for when traffic is about to start moving. Very dangerous situation, as there is loads of pedestrian traffic at this intersection.
Ban left turns from King William Street to Lombard Street. Foot traffic here is huge in the morning, and turn conflicts are ripe! Plus, backed up turning vehicles block free flow of southbound cyclists and cause left hook turn conflicts.
There is no legal northbound route from Coleman St. to Fore Street. Space for a route exists in the center median of London Wall. All that would need to be installed is a curb cut off the centre median at Fore Street Avenue. Also, making … [more]
Upper Thames Street is a very busy, TfL controlled road in the City of London. Following recent works, an on-carriageway cycle lane was repainted much narrower than it used to be. Narrow cycle lanes are worse than useless: they encourage … [more]
Always a lack of storage around here. Perhaps a secure facility such as this one (www.technology4change.com/page.jsp?id=120) could be incorportaed into the re-development of St Botolph's, currently proposed by LBC.
