Coming off the quietway on Beech Street onto Long Lane is always a shock. Far too much motor traffic, including vans and HGVs, to feel safe here cycling with children. Needs proper cycle lane or filtering. Filtering may be difficult as not

Please remove the raised brick crossings here and elsewhere in the square mile - these are uncomfortable and dangerous for cyclists, particularly in the wet.

There is a cycle way crossing across the Embankment. Unfortunately due to cycleway design, there is a green light shown to cyclists, immediately prior to crossing. The light controlling crossing cannot be seen. Too many cyclists take

This is where the Embankment cycle way goes wrong. It is great (although now too narrow when busy) between Parliament Sq and Blackfriars but east of there the cycle way is north of the busy road which is bad for cars and bad for cyclists.
Two-way cycle track is far too narrow for volumes of cyclists using it at peak times. Going head-to-head with a throng of oncoming cyclists from the opposite direction is really unpleasant and scary.

This should be a great connection between CS3 and CS7. Right now they cross, but turning from one to the other is not efficient. Worst is CS3 westbound to CS7 southbound which forces you to turn right and Uturn across multiple traffic
